It all started with a basque...

The inspiration to create the Just Kylie tribute show was triggered by Kylie Minogue's Showgirl tour. The stunning burlesque style costumes, the staging, the choreography, the music and of course Kylie herself.

My roots and training lie in musical theatre but for some years now I have been a professional singer in cover bands, duo's and solo. I had a desire to create something that would encompass my regular singing career with a something more theatrical, visual and top class entertainment. Watching the Showgirl concert was when the light bulb lit ... this was the answer!

I had grown up with Kylie - in Neighbours then through her successful music career and I had always been an admirer. So often people had referenced the similarities between Kylie and I, so to create a tribute show was viable.

As fate happened, my friend and costumier stated that she wished to make a basque for someone. I could grant her wish and gave her the job of making a replica of Kylie's blue showgirl costume.

So now it was really happening! The costume was the kick-start.

It hasn't been a quick process, mainly due to myself being a perfectionist. The costumes, musical arrangements, choreography, rehearsals and many other factors have all taken time and investment. From the start of the project I have had two fabulous dancers alongside me and the three of us have performed at many presigious events but now the show has expanded to where I envisioned it: with a live band, troupe of dancers and and abundance of costumes.

What started with the initial basque, is now a professional spectacular tribute show to the Princess of Pop, Miss Kylie Minogue.
